-----------
Star Zero is a top-down space infiltration game about crossing the dark between ships and taking what's inside. Match velocity with a drifting freighter, launch your pod, cut your way in, and deal with the crew however you like: quietly, loudly, or not at all.
Every ship is procedurally generated, with rooms, doors, cameras, life support and a crew who notice things. They see you in their sight cones and hear you through walls and doors. A body left on the deck will start a search. Vent a compartment, lock the doors from the security console, or just start shooting and see who comes running.
Out in the black, your long range sensors show contacts as unknowns until you scan them. Some ships run with their transponder off, and only the EM scanner gives them away, when they fire their engines or use a module.
Features
- Procedurally generated ships to board, loot and escape from
- Crew that react to sight, sound and bodies
- Pod launches, velocity matching and hull breaching
- Long range sensors, scanning, and an EM scanner for ships running dark
- Stations with contract boards, crew for hire, and a shipyard for rebuilding your ship
- Set your own crew's stations and how they react to intruders: hostile, neutral or passive
- Online multiplayer with a dedicated server you can host yourself
Star Zero is in early development. Expect rough edges, and new features with every update.
